BIG News! My first historical romance was just published by Tirgearr Publishing. TEMPTING WILL McGLASHEN is on sale for .99 cents. I’m not certain how long the sale will continue–so scoop it up today!

Tempting Will McGlashen by Liz Everly - 500

Here’s a bit about the book:

Mathilde Miller wanted to be a good daughter and marry the son of a long-time family friend, Joshua Bowman. But she didn’t want to be the wife of a Pennsylvania farmer. She loved her life, cooking on the Virginia frontier at her family’s ordinary. The minute blacksmith Will McGlashen walks into her kitchen, her restlessness focused on him. Fresh from Scotland, with a voice “like a song” and thick coppery hair, her heart belonged to him. Was it possible for the daughter of a Pennsylvania German to marry a hired man from Scotland? What did she really know about Will McGlashen and his secret past?

Will McGlashen needed to keep his own counsel. A man with a past full of violence and loss in Scotland, he was grateful for this chance to rebuild his life as a blacksmith in Virginia. He’d have to ignore the undeniable pull he felt toward his boss’s eldest daughter. When Joshua Bowman showed up and claimed her, instead of providing resolution for will, it burns like the fire he wields in his blacksmith shop. As events unfold, Will wonders if the signs she’s sending him are all in his head and prays that he has the strength not to find out.

The story is set in the Virginia frontier in 1765, a time when Native Americans still lurked in the hills, bandits and robbers were handed swift justice, and enterprising men and their families attempted to live in and tame the wild western edge of the new colonies. An ordinary offering good food, a bed, and company for travelers along the way was a much welcomed respite. Mathilde and Will’s story is woven into the history, adventure, and danger of the time period.

My other romances take readers into a culinary terrain few travel. My adventurous characters are quirky, kick-ass, and not afraid of their sexuality. I’m not writing cutesy cupcakes romances (though there is a place for those). Think open-air food markets in Mexico, truffle hunting in Tuscany,  and musty aphrodisiac shops in Hong Kong.

“Liz Everly’s work is like that beautiful park in the traffic circle where food, sex, and exotic travel intersect.” –Alexa Day, author of “Illicit Impulse”

The first book in the series, SAFFRON NIGHTS, is now free. Enjoy it! Fair warning–these books are very spicy romances, but they are not your formula-driven stories. They push boundaries. Here’s a bit about each book:

Brazil…Hawaii…India….As a food writer, Maeve has just been handed the hottest opportunity of her career. She’s being sent on an international research tour for an aphrodisiac cookbook. The downside is she’s got to travel with rock star photographer and womanizer Jackson Dodds. And the upside is she’s got to travel with Jackson Dodds. Because once they meet, Maeve understands why he’s been named “America’s Most Eligible Bachelor”—and despite her best intentions, all she can think about is putting their arousing recipes to the test…

Sexy and talented, Jackson can have any woman he desires. But lately, the thrill is gone—until he lays eyes on Maeve, who exudes sensuality like no one else. She’s determined to keep things professional, but he knows the attraction is mutual. And as they travel the world, sampling warming saffron, juicy papaya, silky avocado, rare herbs and teas—and a mushroom whose very aroma sends women to heights of ecstasy—both discover a hunger they’ve never known, and don’t want to resist, even amid unexpected danger…

My story in the anthology is BRENNA BANG’S IMMORTAL LONGINGS and it’s a HAWT, edgy vampire story, with a suspenseful twist or two. Stay tuned for more.

    • Good to know Jackie. The third cover in the series is very pretty as well. The title is LIKE HONEY. I’ll be posting that soon here. Thanks so much for commenting.

  1. Loved Cravings, can’t wait to read your other books. Lots of suspense, just above being dark with the kinky sex. Really enjoyed the word pics of the chocolate cuisine and islands. Just one comment-there were a lot of typos-spelling. It’s one of my idiosyncrasies.

    • Hi Sharon, thanks for your kind words about Cravings.I’m sorry about the typos–makes me wonder if you had advanced copy of the book. They often still have a ton of typos in it. I hate that, too!
